Thalia & Melpomene Theater Mask Ring
Description
All rings are made to order - please allow 2 to 3 weeks before shipping.
Thalia, the Muse of Comedy, and Melpomene, the Muse of Tragedy, are Ancient Greek goddesses, daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne. The comedy and tragedy theater mask we know today is an homage to these sisters. Our hand carved Thalia and Melpomene theater mask ring is made to celebrate them and honour their part in the history of storytelling. We hope this ring serves as a reminder that ‘All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players.’
Handmade in New York City in Argentium silver: a higher purity, hypoallergenic, ethically sourced silver that is brighter, stronger, and more tarnish resistant than sterling silver.
Ring weighs approximately 10.75 grams.
We assure that each piece is polished and handled with care and attention to detail, but please note that due to the handmade nature of our jewelry, there may be slight variations.
Care
For general maintenance, use a soft polishing cloth to wipe your piece. Wash gently with mild soap in warm water for a deeper clean, and dry immediately after to avoid water spots.
While Argentium silver is tarnish resistant and generally low maintenance, please treat your jewelry with care. We recommend avoiding exposure to chemicals like chlorine, household cleaning products, perfumes, and lotions. Your jewelry is made of quality material that will last a lifetime, but please remember that rough handling may lead to scratches and marks. We suggest you store your pieces in a cool, dry place when not being worn.
